Floor Jansen has announced her first solo album, Paragon , for release on March 24th. The singles already released are " Fire ," " Storm, " and " Me Without You ."
“Reinventing yourself and taking leaps into the unknown makes you grow. Getting older is a gift that not everyone receives. I am a lucky woman who managed to make an album that I never knew I could make. One that even defines me, where I am on my path. I am very proud of this work! And grateful for all the incredible people in this beautiful life who helped me get here!”, said the Nightwish in promotional material.
The singer associates the new album with a "naturally more pop" genre, which differs from the sound of the Finnish band she's part of. Previously, she had already commented that she would move away somewhat from metal and rock in her solo career .
Between March and April, Floor Jansen is scheduled to undertake a short European tour to promote Paragon . She recently had to postpone Nightwish's Asian tour due to radiotherapy sessions being moved forward to February.
