The family of Christine McVie , keyboardist and vocalist of Fleetwood Mac , passed away on the morning of Wednesday, the 30th.
In a social media post, it was reported that Christine “died peacefully in hospital this morning” after a “brief illness” and that she was in the company of her family. The post asked for respect for the family's privacy and left a message:
"We would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being and revered musician who was universally loved."
On social media, Fleetwood Mac paid tribute to their bandmate. “There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie. She was truly one of a kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in a band and the best anyone could have in their life.”
“We were very fortunate to have lived a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine immensely and are grateful for the incredible memories we have. She will be greatly missed,” they concluded.
