The band Fleetwood Mac has reappeared on the music charts thanks to a meme that went viral in recent weeks.
“Dreams” is part of the album Rumours (1977) and reached position 16 on the Hot Rock Songs chart after a meme showing people dancing to the classic song.
The meme originally appeared on Twitter with the caption: "Fleetwood Mac songs are so boring I can't even dance when I listen to them," followed by a video of cheerleaders dancing to "Dreams."
According to Billboard , the tweet already has 131,000 retweets and 310,000 likes, which increased the song's popularity, leading to its return to the music charts after receiving 1.9 million streams and a 36% increase in downloads.
Rumours also charted, reaching number 13 on the Top Rock Albums , and continues to hold the record for the Billboard Rock chart. The album topped the charts for 31 weeks after its release in 1977.
