The face of Flea , bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers , will be featured not only on stage, but also on movie screens.
Having already appeared in a list of films such as The Outsiders (1983), Back to the Future II and III , and Baby Driver (2017), the bassist (and actor) has now been confirmed as part of the cast of Babylon , the new film by Damien Chazelle ( La La Land, Whiplash ). This is according to Consequence .
The plot of Babylon is still being kept secret, but Flea is joining a cast that includes Brad Pitt ( Fight Club, Troy ), Margot Robbie ( Suicide Squad, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ), and other names such as Katherine Waterston, Max Minghella, Diego Calva, Samara Weaving, Rory Scovel, and Lukas Haas. The film is scheduled for release on December 25, 2022 in a limited edition and in theaters generally on January 6, 2023.
