Still preparing for the release of the album Afterlife , Five Finger Death Punch released another single this Friday, the 8th. The song is called "Times Like These" and is the fourth track from the new album to be released.

Afterlife is the new studio album from Five Finger Death Punch and, according to guitarist Zoltan Bathory , it's also "much more diverse" than the band's other works. It's scheduled for release on August 29th via Better Noise Music .

Afterlife was by far my favorite album to make,” Bathory comments. “It’s our ninth album, so we have a legion of loyal fans at this point and we’ve also better established our signature sound. It’s become our own island, ground zero where we started and to which we can always return.”

“When we started this album, there was an anticipation of venturing into imminent musical territory. We knew we could step outside our comfort zone as much as we wanted; there was a freedom to really think 'anything goes'. This resulted in an album that is much more diverse than the previous ones and also feels more unified because there is a structure of interconnected stories in Ivan [ Moody , vocalist] lyrics and themes that connect between the songs.”

The guitarist also said that Five Finger Death Punch's initial intention wasn't to make a concept album, but since the band focused on creating a self-contained project, the feeling is similar.
