Five Finger Death Punch confirms new drummer for upcoming album.

The band will retain drummer The Engine, considered a prodigy in the field

Five Finger Death Punch announced that Charlie “The Engine” Engen will remain in the band for the next album.

Engen joined the band in 2018, months after Jeremy Spencer left. In a video released by the group, guitarist Jason Hook explains that Engen was recommended by former drummer Spencer, who met him on Instagram.

“When he told us he was leaving the band, he mentioned that he saw a really good guy on Instagram, so we went to see him and then you know the rest,” Hook said.

Speaking about Engen, guitarist Zoltan Bathory praised him, saying he is an "incredible drummer" and even revealed that he had been following his work before Spencer recommended him.

At 34 years old, the drummer is considered a prodigy in the field. It has not yet been announced whether he will officially become a member of the group or if he will remain only as a contracted employee.
