In a recent interview , Terry Glaze was asked about his years as the original vocalist for Pantera , from 1981 to 1986, when he left the band to form Lord Tracy .
During his time with the band, Glaze recorded three albums: Metal Magic (1983), Projects In The Jungle (1984), and I Am The Night (1985). In the interview, the musician was asked how he felt seeing the surge to success that Pantera experienced after his departure, and he showed no bitterness.
Terry Glaze spoke about the chance he had to hear Vulgar Display Of Power firsthand when Dimebag Darrell invited him to listen to the album in his limousine. “I was very proud of my friends, I was very happy,” he recalls. “It was very good. You hear something good like that and it’s uncontrollable.”
“Just being able to spend time with Darrell was a great night. My band was also doing very well at the time, so there were no regrets. I don’t think like that. When I make a decision, I absorb all the information I can and make the best decision I can and then move on,” he states.
According to Glaze, leaving Pantera might seem like the wrong choice to others, but he's happy with the path he's taken. "I'm living my dream. I'm very grateful for every day I wake up," he says.
