Nancy Wilson started playing guitar, she didn't have the best instruments to learn with and went through many difficulties. Therefore, the Heart doesn't have fond memories of the instrument that would become so symbolic in her own journey.

Asked if she kept the guitar, Wilson denied it. “No, it was a piece of junk and I got rid of it. I gave it to someone or something,” she told The Mistress Carrie Podcast (via Ultimate Guitar ). “I should have burned it because it was impossible to play, (…) it was out of tune all the time, so I moved the bridge a little just to try and keep it more in tune while I played it. But I learned to be strong with that guitar, because it was so terrible.”

In May, Nancy released her first solo album, titled You and Me , featuring covers and original, unreleased songs. Including a tribute to Eddie Van Halen , the album also includes collaborations with Sammy Hagar, Taylor Hawkins , and Duff McKagan .
