FireWing has released a new version of “Time Machine” to celebrate the announcement of their new vocalist. Jota Fortinho ( Capella , Signum Regis ) is now part of the group.
“Singing a song that was originally sung by another singer is always a challenge. Because while you have to find a balance to respect the original theme, you also need to find your own space and put a little bit of yourself into it. This song, like so many others by FireWing, has a very strong emotional charge, so my challenge here was to create something that emphasized the diverse feelings and dynamics of this incredible song,” commented Jota Fortinho.
"Time Machine" is part of the concept album Resurrection, and its lyrics deal with the awakening of Vahagn, the receptacle of Ember's ancestral powers, who, driven by the anguish of losing the love of his life in a dark ritual performed by Vishap, seeks to transmute his soul through meditation to access the portal of the past and rediscover and rebuild his former reality.
The song was produced by Caio Kehyayan , mixed and mastered by Jack Kosto , with artwork by Junki Sakuraba , video production by Jota Fortinho, and lyrics, concept, and world creation by Caio Kehyayan.
