Gamma Ray's studio in Germany was destroyed by a fire yesterday. No one from the band was present, as they are currently touring South America, but one person was slightly injured.
According to a German newspaper, firefighters arrived too late at the scene and everything was lost. The cause of the fire is still being determined.

The band's founder, Kai Hansen, left the following statement on Facebook:
“Thank you all for your concern, we are fine, on tour in South America. The studio is probably destroyed, we will know more when the firefighters have the situation under control. The ironic part is that the studio is on the edge of a lake and we just mixed live tracks for Deep Purple. Remember Smoke On The Water…”
