Finland hosted the world's first heavy metal knitting championship, and the winner was Giga Boby Metal , a Japanese band.

The world championship took place in the city of Joensuu and featured bands from Denmark, Latvia, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, Finland, and Japan. All of them performed while knitting.

Giga Boby Metal was the group that, according to the expert jury, demonstrated the best skills. See below a video showcasing the bands' talent.
