System of a Down kicked off their South American tour, WAKE UP!, last Thursday night, the 24th, with a show at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia.

In Brazil, the band will be performing in the coming weeks in Curitiba on May 6th (Estádio Couto Pereira), in Rio de Janeiro on May 8th (Estádio Nilton Santos – Engenhão), and in São Paulo on May 10th and 11th (Allianz Parque), with an additional date at Autódromo de Interlagos on May 14th, opening for AFI . Some tickets are still available on the Eventim .

This will be the band's first time in Brazil in a decade. SOAD's last visit to the country was in 2015, when they performed at Rock in Rio and played a show in São Paulo.

System of a Down's debut in Latin America after 10 years.

System of a Down's highly anticipated tour kicked off with a sold-out show in Bogotá. The performance lasted approximately two hours and featured 34 songs.

According to Setlist.fm , the band played hits such as “Chop Suey!” – with a snippet of Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” – “Lonely Day”, “Toxicity”, “BYOB” and “Psycho” – with a snippet of the Bee Gees’ “You Should Be Dancing”.

They also played songs that hadn't been performed live for some time, such as "Streamline," which hasn't been played since 2005, "Attack" and "Marmalade," played for the first time since 2015, "ADD" and "Roulette," which hadn't been played since 2018, and "Violent Pornography," absent since 2019.

The setlist is expected to change at each performance, as bassist  Shavo Odadjian SNSMix.com that the band intends to create a different setlist for each of the confirmed dates. "We'll probably change the setup drastically between each [show], so if you go to both shows [in the same city], you'll hear different songs."

The bassist had also previously revealed the length and number of songs in the shows: “We’re going to play two-hour sets. We have over 70 songs, but we’ll play 30 of them—maybe 27 to 30 songs—and we’ll mix and match. We’re going to rehearse a lot so we can learn a lot and switch songs between sets all the time, avoiding playing the same thing repeatedly.”
