In June, bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu announced that he would be taking an indefinite Korn due to a relapse into some “bad habits.”
In a recent interview with Spotlight Report , his bandmate, guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, gave an update on Fieldy's well-being. “He’s taking time to be with his family,” he assured. “He’s a great dad. He has lots of kids. He has grown children, teenagers, and younger children.”
“He needs time and we’re giving him time,” he continued. “We want everyone to be healthy and happy.” Head also commented that he and his Korn colleagues “love Fieldy very much” and hope to be able to talk to him throughout this year.
The band had previously stated that they wanted Fieldy to get "healthy ," while Jonathan Davis commented that he "refuses" to see someone he cares about die again .
Korn recently released their 14th studio album, Requiem . According to Head, it's possible the band will tour in support of the album.
