In an interview on the Shady Characters podcast , Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu spoke again about his departure from Korn . According to him, not getting vaccinated against COVID-19 led to his leaving the group.

When asked about it, the musician replied that in addition to not getting vaccinated, he didn't care to leave his house during the pandemic. “COVID happened. I thought, 'I'm not leaving the house.' That's what happened, because it was something new. I didn't get vaccinated or anything, but when you reflect on it, that's what happened. They were saying, 'Let's go to Florida.' And I was thinking, 'I'm not getting vaccinated, I'm not.' I was thinking, 'Wow, this is very strange right now,'” he stated [transcription via THEPRP].

Regarding Korn, Fieldy stated that he is "retired" from the band, but says he doesn't know what "tomorrow holds." For him, having been in the group for almost three decades was "incredible," and he left the band on the verge of becoming a veteran.

“I look at my life and think: ‘It’s been almost 30 years with Korn.’ It was incredible, it’s impossible to explain. It wasn’t easy, but it’s incredible. I don’t look back thinking: ‘That was terrible.’ Of course, I could complain, but about what? It was everything anyone dreams of. And I left almost like a veteran. I dedicated 30 years and now I’m here. Today I’m retired from Korn, but let’s see what tomorrow holds,” he concluded.
