Fieldy , best known for his work as the bassist for Korn , recently released the single "Can't Stop Now" from his solo project Stillwell .
Fieldy announced he was stepping away from Korn over a year ago, in June 2021, to take care of his mental health and relapse into some "bad habits." At the time, however, the bassist made it clear that he would remain creatively active as a way to keep "his mind and soul in a good state of mind."
Regarding the release of the new single with his side project, Fieldy commented: “I’ve been working on Stillwell for 16 years, it’s nothing new, even though some things in it are. Along with my brothers Wuv and Q , we’ve released 3 albums and we’re about to release the fourth.”
"It has nothing to do with Korn or my status with Korn. It's not heavy music, it's alternative rock. We always wrote songs for Stillwell while I was at home or on tour with Korn."

Fieldy's hiatus from Korn
According to guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer , Fieldy's indefinite hiatus from Korn, his time away from touring and other promotional obligations, is intended to help Fieldy on this journey of self-discovery and healing: “We’re giving him time to figure out what he wants to do, without pressure, because [that way] we can still work and tour. But we miss him. We love this guy and want him to get healthy.”
Jonathan Davis commented in November that he didn't want to see another important person die. "I love him; he's my brother. But I saw someone I care about die [the singer's ex-wife, Deven , died of an accidental overdose in 2018] and I'm not going to do that again. I refuse [to do that]. I'll feel guilty for the rest of my fucking life because of this," he commented.
