Fieldy, from Korn, announces departure from the band due to "bad habits".

The bassist will not be present on the recently announced tour in order to begin treatment

Korn recently announced a US tour, but the band will return to the stage without bassist Fieldy , stage name of Reginald Arvizu . The musician announced this Monday, the 21st, his temporary departure from the band to recover from "bad habits".

The hiatus was announced on Fieldy's social media with a note addressed to the band's fans around the world. "Over the last 6 years, I've dealt with some personal issues that have caused me to relapse into some of my bad habits at times and created some tension with those around me. It was suggested that I take some time to heal," he wrote.

The bassist explained that he accepted the suggestion and intends to fully rehabilitate himself before returning to the group, but that he will work "creatively to keep my mind and soul in a good state of mind.".

The statement was shared on the band's social media with a heartfelt message from his colleagues: "We love and support our brother Fieldy. Health and family always come first.".

The difficulties faced by the bassist have affected Korn before. In 2009, Fieldy released the autobiography Got the Life: My Journey of Addiction, Faith, Recovery, and Korn to celebrate his recovery after battling alcohol and drug addiction and compulsive eating acquired during his adolescence.
