Zakk Wylde revealed that the Back to the Beginning, which became known as the last show of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, could have taken place in several other countries – including Brazil.

podcast Vinyl Guide, Wylde reminisced about the atmosphere of the performance and revealed that the idea was to hold the festival in other countries [via Ultimate Classic Rock].

“I just imagined we’d be working on another album. And, you know, between Oz’s therapy sessions and attempts at recovery, Sharon [Osbourneshows Back to the Beginning all over the world. The next one in Brazil, the next one in Japan, the next one in Chicago, the next one in Australia, the next one in New Zealand… I’m just saying, you could do shows all over the world.”

's farewell concert Black Sabbathwhich took place on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, was attended by approximately 40,000 people, with 5.8 million watching online. Titled " Back To The Beginning," the event reunited the four original members of the band: Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler, guitarist Tony Iommi , and drummer Bill Ward, who played together for the first and last time in 20 years.

Zakk Wylde reveals song that was left out of the show

The musician, who maintained a close relationship with Ozzy for decades, also revealed that Ozzy rehearsed a song that was ultimately left out of the setlist. The decision was made during the final adjustments to the show

“We were going to play 'No More Tears'. Oz said, 'If I'm willing, if I can do it, we'll play 'No More Tears'. We played it in rehearsals. That day, while he was looking at me, he said, 'No, Zakk. Let's just play 'Mama I'm Coming Home'. And then we finished with 'Crazy Train'. It was Ozzy's decision. If he thought he could do it, we would have played it,” the guitarist revealed.

Sharon Osbourne revealed that Ozzy Osbourne was warned that playing one last show with Black Sabbath could be fatal. The musician passed away on July 22nd, at the age of 76, just weeks after his final show with Black Sabbath in the band's hometown of Birmingham. The cause of death was later revealed to be a heart attack and acute myocardial infarction.
