With two words in capital letters, Fernanda Lira , Nervosa , began her farewell letter to the band she founded: "GOODBYE, NERVOSA!"
The vocalist and bassist used social media to say that "everything has a beginning and an end, life is made of beginnings and endings, it's the natural cycle of things."
“Some of these endings are very challenging, and this one is definitely the hardest of my life – the most difficult decision of my life.
I thought I would stay forever in this band that is my passion, but I decided that today my journey within NERVOSA ends.”
Fernanda Lira said that everything is fine and gave more details:
"Everything is fine, and I will always look at my tattoo, now etched on my wrist, and at the past with great pride in what I built and was a part of, and above all, very happy to have touched each of your hearts with my art."
Fernanda also thanked the fans and the band, without mentioning the names of the other members, guitarist Prika Amaral and drummer Luana Dametto:
"So, thank you Nervosa and thank you to EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU for your support throughout this time; without you, none of this would have been possible. Thank you for helping to make each of the biggest dreams of this 14-year-old Fefemetal headbanger come true—the dream of having a metal band."
Fernanda Lira concludes her announcement of leaving the band with the following statement, affirming that she feels great pain over the decision:
"Finally, I conclude this cycle knowing that I did the best I could, with great passion, dedication, and honesty."
"Let me make it perfectly clear that this is a personal decision and has nothing to do with being tired of touring, the record label, nothing! My passion for the fans, for the music, and for the road remains intact within me, and I will continue in metal with my new project (which, by the way, also has nothing to do with this decision). As this choice hurts and will continue to hurt a lot, I will be taking a break for a few days. In the meantime, I only ask that you be kind during this very delicate moment for me. Above all, much love to everyone and again, THANK YOU."
