Fernanda Lira , vocalist and bassist of Crypta , is back on The Wikimetal Happy Hour ! The invitation to participate in the program coincided with the band's two-year anniversary, formed a year before it was announced to the public.

Right at the beginning of the conversation with Nando Machado , Fernanda spoke openly about leaving Nervosa in April 2020, accompanied by drummer Luana Dametto Prika Amaral initial statement on the matter demonstrated. "There are several reasons (...), but it's been two years since we were the same and we always try to keep the band alive, each of us doing our best," she commented at the time.

Fernanda commented that, even while still a member of Nervosa , she had already been talking to Luana about wanting a side project in death metal, and Crypta's debut album was written in May of last year, when the group was finally announced to fans . "Since the vibe wasn't the same in Nervosa anymore, we thought it would be a change of scenery, a new vibe, another place to work on our creativity," explained the São Paulo native. "We thought it could help the band itself, which was Nervosa."

When the separation announcement came, Fernanda took a break from social media precisely to avoid media frenzy and unfounded comments. “I see some things happening in the scene, people very eager for scandalous news, and I never liked that, you know? I'm not a person who likes to promote controversial things, I never liked it and I think I never will,” she continued. “This discreet way we handled everything was also a way to oppose this trend of 'oh, everything is controversial'.”

The vocalist also explained that there was already an understanding among the members of Nervosa that something wasn't right, and the separation occurred by mutual agreement. "All three of us knew things weren't working, we just needed someone to have the courage to take the step. I almost died, but I managed to take that step," she confided. "It was the hardest decision of my life, but deep down I knew it was the best for everyone."
