Fernanda Lira , vocalist and bassist of Crypta , shared a recording of the moment she became emotional upon receiving her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine . Wearing a t-shirt representing the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and a sweatshirt opposing the government of Jair Bolsonaro , the artist left a message of awareness for her fans.

“And in such a sad and difficult week for me, some good news, a drop of hope. Today I received my first dose of the vaccine,” he commented, alluding to the death of his friend and producer Adan Moreno . “I cried from beginning to end, out of gratitude for the opportunity and sadness for everyone who didn't have the chance to get vaccinated before dying because of this shitty government.”

When posting the video of the entire process, Fernanda also warned her followers not to fall for “fake news and conspiracy theories” about the effectiveness of vaccines. “If there isn’t a collective social pact to get as many people as possible vaccinated, life won’t return to normal and more people will die, including perhaps you,” she reminded them. “Don’t choose vaccines; a good vaccine is the one available at the health center and in your arm. Unless you have a health condition that prevents you from taking one, choosing is something only an alienated person would do.”

With Crypta's debut album recently released , the bassist also commented that there is a long way to go before things return to normal, including live performances. "For God's sake, have some respect for those who have died or may still die from this shit," she warned. "Happy, but with a heavy heart knowing that if governments around the world had taken vaccination seriously and firmly, and if we hadn't reached this moral low point where people have no respect for the lives of others and only think of themselves, millions of lives could have been saved."
