In guitarist Jéssica Falchi Korzus an interview with Wikimetal, Fernanda Lira commented on joining and stated that the atmosphere between the artists is friendly, even after Jéssica left Crypta.
Fernanda revealed that she reunited with the guitarist before the Bangers Open Air 2026 show, where Crypta and Korzus performed last Sunday, the 26th. According to the bassist and vocalist of Crypta, there was an exchange of support and a friendly atmosphere backstage.
“We played in Nova Friburgo, at a festival where Jessica Falchi's project also played. And she stayed there, she made another appearance, as far as I understand, in a Metallica, which they invited her to join, and she stayed to watch our show too. So I looked, went up on stage, saw Jessy there, waved, and she watched the whole show. Afterwards, right there near the dressing room, everyone was already talking amongst themselves, right? There was a little circle there, we were exchanging ideas, making jokes. And the atmosphere is friendly […] and it will continue to happen, because our bands will continue to meet. So, that's it.”
Fernanda also celebrated Jéssica Falchi joining Korzus as a positive move for the scene. She also highlighted the importance of female representation, pointing out that Falchi's presence in a traditionally male-dominated group expands opportunities and inspires new generations of fans and instrumentalists.
“She’s an undeniably talented woman taking up space. Those who follow me know that I’m always in favor of women occupying more and more spaces. And knowing that a talented woman like Jéssica is in a band that has traditionally always had a 100% male lineup is a great victory for us women too. Because imagine how many Korzus fans will go to the show and see Jéssica killing it and will think it’s incredible and feel represented.”.
Crypta announces Victoria Villarreal as new guitarist
Recently, Crypta announced Victoria Villarreal as their new permanent guitarist. The group had previously performed officially as a trio since Jéssica Falchi in March 2025.
Victoria had been with Crypta as a touring guitarist since September, filling the position initially held by Helena Nagagata. Fernanda Lira commented on the process of choosing the new member.
“We really like Helena. But we ended up officially bringing in Victoria, who was also one of the people who helped us on tours, hired as a substitute, and it wasn't an easy decision. Both are incredible guitarists, but we had some very specific internal criteria. Some related to sound, influence, among other more internal business things . And in the end, we felt that now was the right time to bring in Victoria.”
