The Campinas-based duo Fenrir's Scar released their newest single, "Break The Wheel," this October. It's the fourth single from their upcoming album, Love | Hate | Hope | Despair , slated for release in mid-2021.

The unreleased track is over seven minutes long and contains several elements that bring the weight and melancholy that define the sound of the duo formed by Desireé Rezende and André Baida . Heavy guitars and synthesizers, as well as vocals that contrast and complement each other.

Regarding the inspiration behind the song, Desireé reveals that the series The Handmaid's Tale , coup d'état and is taken over by fundamentalist religious figures who create a new series of laws and rules that primarily affect women."

“They have no freedom whatsoever; they are all forced to serve according to their status and reproductive capacity,” he adds. “It’s a very sad world, but not too far from what we live in today, which is why I identified with the story and wanted to write about it. And the song isn’t just about this tragedy; it also speaks of rebellion and revolution against this system. And that politics and religion are a very dangerous combination.”
