The Fender guitar model designed by Kurt Cobain returns in October.

The Fender Jag-Stang model will be re-released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's album 'Nevermind'

In 1993, Kurt Cobain partnered with Fender to create an exclusive guitar model that combined his two favorites: the Fender Jaguar and the Fender Mustang.

Called the Fender Jag-Stang , the guitar envisioned by Cobain is now returning to stores in October 2021 in honor of the 30th anniversary of Nirvana 's Nevermind . The model features the same details that made up the ideal instrument imagined by Kurt. Check it out here.

“Kurt always played both guitars [Jaguar and Mustang],” said Larry Brooks of Fender. “He took pictures of both, cut the images in half and put them together to see what the result would be. It was his concept and we detailed and contoured it to give it feel and balance.”

“[Kurt] was a very easy person to work with,” Brooks added. “I had the chance to sit down and talk with him, and then we built a prototype. He played it for a while, wrote some suggestions and sent them to us. The second time, we got everything right.”
