'A Man's Word' – Everything You Wanted to Know About Male Behavior but Nobody Had the Courage to Confess', by journalist and musician Felipe Machado, brings together 64 chronicles about relationships, behavior, family, and love.

What do men really think about relationships? What are their doubts, anxieties, and desires? What do they talk about regarding women at a bar, but don't usually discuss in public? Over several years, journalist and musician Felipe Machado has reflected on these themes in columns published in various Brazilian newspapers and magazines. Now, a selection of his best texts is arriving in bookstores, published by Editora CLA.

'A Man's Word – Everything You Wanted to Know About Male Behavior but Nobody Had the Courage to Confess' brings together 64 chronicles. The launch, with a book signing, will be on August 12th at the 3 Brasseurs brewery in São Paulo. In the introductory text, writer Marisa Lajolo describes the book as a "parade of subjects and situations that everyone has experienced, heard, and discussed at some point, but that they like to hear, discuss, and perhaps even relive."

For Marisa, "'A Man's Word' ranges from the most trivial to the most abstract and profound." And she adds: "While there is certainly much that is biographical in the stories Felipe tells, they transcend this personal dimension and soar on the horizon of many people's lives. In fact, of all of our lives."

Felipe Machado also defines the book in an opening text: “These are reflections from a normal guy, who has had his share of successes and failures in life. Who got married and divorced, but who still believes in love. Who has a daughter who serves as inspiration for everything, and a family that serves as a foundation to move forward. Who has written many books and recorded many albums, but who still knows the same thing as everyone else about the secrets of love: nothing. Yes, because only those who admit to knowing nothing about love have the necessary humility to begin to understand what it means.”
