Felipe Machado released “Na Praia”, the second single from his new solo album Primata . According to the musician, the song was composed by adults and children during a holiday on Ubatuba beach, on the north coast of São Paulo.

“The song came about when I was looking for a melody that everyone could sing at a luau. The lyrics were inspired by the novel 'On the Beach' by British writer Ian McEwan, which talks about how life can radically change in a minute,” says Machado.

He also said: “Sometimes, a phrase we say without thinking can have consequences for the rest of our lives, for good or for bad. I combined this concept with suggestions from my daughter and her friends. The entire song came together in a single afternoon, between glasses of gin and tonic and dips in the sea.”

“Na Praia” is produced by Val Santos and features backing vocals by Felipe's daughter, Isabel Machado , and singer Bia Rhäissem . The mixing was done by Mauricio Cersosimo ( Emicida, Skank, VIPER ) and took place in New York.
