Felipe Machado takes a trip down memory lane in his new music video “Quinze Anos” (Fifteen Years). Directed and edited by himself, the production assembles a film of his life, featuring photos from his childhood and rare images that recall the origins of VIPER .

With images taken by cinematographer Paulo Rocha , “Quinze Anos” was filmed in the auditorium of Colégio Sion, where Felipe, along with Pit and Yves Passarell, performed in their pre-teen years with Rock Migration , the band considered an “embryo” of what would become VIPER – three years later, the band would return to perform on the same stage, now with Andre Matos on vocals.

“The song is about the naiveté of adolescence, so I thought it would be a good metaphor to return to the stage where VIPER was born. We were just kids, but we already dreamed of pursuing a musical career,” says Felipe.

The music video intersperses present-day images, shot in black and white, with images from the past, in color, and features a special appearance by Felipe Machado's daughter, Isabela, who is now fifteen years old. “Like almost all the compositions on the album Primata , this song is about the passage of time,” reflects Felipe. “I thought it would be symbolic to act alongside my daughter, who is now the same age I was when I started my career. Seeing her on the same stage where I played is a profound look at my own life, a kind of mirror where we are inside and see our own reflection at the same time.”

“Quinze Anos” was originally recorded by VIPER and is part of the album Tem Para Todo Mundo , from 1996. The new version features Yves Passarell, former guitarist of VIPER and now a member of Capital Inicial .
