Felipe Machado , founder and guitarist of VIPER , is preparing to release his second solo album, Primata , and on Thursday, the 15th, he released the first single from this new phase, "Medo do Novo" (Fear of the New).
In the songwriting, Felipe once again collaborates with producer Val Santos – who recently released his debut album, 1986 – and receives support from Viper's vocalist, Leandro Caçoilo , who appears on backing vocals. Using metaphors about time, the song is, according to Felipe Machado, inspired by the current moment and the radical transformations in society, which bring fear and apprehension to those who cannot keep up with them.
“It’s natural for humans to feel intimidated by any change, but the future depends on our ability to adapt,” says the musician. “It’s a Darwinian concept: those who are paralyzed by the fear of the new cannot move forward, only look back.” Listen to “Fear of the New” here.
Felipe Machado's debut album, FMSolo , remix version in 2020 , created by renowned DJs from Brazil and abroad.
