Megadeth David Ellefson 's replacement , his dismissal after a sexual scandal with a young woman . The band returns to the stage in August and has already replaced the former bassist for the recording of their new album.

In a video sent to a fan celebrating their birthday via the Cameo platform , Dave Mustaine "showed" the new band member hidden behind a chair and promised to announce the "mystery bassist" soon .

In the few seconds that the musician appeared in the band's studio, it was only possible to see the instrument used by the new Megadeth member – and that was enough for the band's community on Reddit to formulate interesting theories about the owner of that bass.

Based on the BTB model, manufactured by Ibanez, and the logo present on the instrument's headstock, community members have two strong candidates: Felipe Andreoli , from Angra , or Steve DiGiorgio , from Testament .

Among the arguments listed to defend the claim that Andreoli at least recorded Ellefson's parts for the new album, fans cite his close relationship with Kiko Loureiro , the current guitarist of Megadeth, the musician's technical prowess, and the artist's strange "disappearance" from social media in recent weeks, without his usual live streams, precisely during the period that coincides with the replacement of bass lines on the group's album.

To improve things, the Brazilian published this Tuesday, the 13th, a photo of a new Ibanez bass, very similar to the model displayed in the band's studio and with the same logo, only in a different color.

Other dedicated fans are betting on DiGiorgio: besides also using basses of the same brand, as we can see in photos, the musician is a resident of Nashville, the capital of Tennessee, where Mustaine lives and the album is being recorded. Furthermore, recent interactions by the American on social media include puns on the band's album titles.
