Fear Factory performed last Saturday, the 4th, in Reno with the band's new lineup. The performance took place during the North American tour, Rise Of The Machine .

After a selection process lasting more than two years , which even included potential female replacements , Italian Milo Silvestro was confirmed as the group's new vocalist, succeeding Burton C. Bell . Drummer Pete Webber is temporarily filling in for Mike Heller due to scheduling conflicts.

The 10-song setlist included hits such as “Archetype”, “Demanufacture”, “ Replica ”, and “ Zero Signal ”. Performances recorded by fans present at the Virginia Street Brewhouse can be seen at the end of this article.

In an interview with Revolver , the Italian singer commented on the nervousness of his live debut: “Being nervous is part of the game. My father always told me, the moment you're not afraid to go on stage, it's better to give up music. Also, the fact that it's my first touring experience, my first Fear Factory experience, my first musical experience in general, of course that makes me a little nervous. But the good thing is that Dino Cazares and also the fans are thankfully making me feel very comfortable.”

In 2020, Burton left the band in a less than amicable manner. “I consider myself a private person, preferring to keep my personal affairs to myself and trusted loved ones,” the musician wrote at the time. “I make my public statements with careful intent, never deviating from the truth, despite the consistent series of dishonest portrayals and unfounded accusations from past and present band members, a toxic drama I choose not to be a part of” (via Whiplash ).

Recently, the musician revealed that he doesn't care about the new Fear Factory lineup. “It doesn't affect me at all. To be honest, I haven't been this happy in a long time. More power to them, but I'm moving forward with my own life, my own career, and I'm just trying to make a name for myself. I haven't watched Milo's singing video. I don't care,” he said on the Talk Toomey (transcription via Blabbermouth ).

The album Aggression Continuum (2021) was completed before the split and marks the group's last project with Bell's vocals.

In June, the metal band will arrive in Brazil for a single show in São Paulo , marking their return to the country after eight years.
