After 2 years, Fear Factory finally has a new vocalist!
Last Tuesday, the 21st, Dino Cazares revealed that the new voice of Fear Factory is singer Milo Silvestro . Milo is an Italian musician who previously played electronic metal in his project Dead Channel (via Loudwire ). According to information on his Instagram , he is also a drummer, percussionist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist.
The vocalist position for Fear Factory had been open since 2020, following the departure of Burton C. Bell . Cazares said he wasn't in a hurry to choose a new voice for the band and went through an extensive selection process, announcing that he had already chosen someone in the second half of 2021 .
“I took my time choosing the right individual for this job. I auditioned at least 300 people; different vocalists from all kinds of styles,” he says in the announcement video.
Dino Cazares found Milo Silvestro through covers the singer made of Fear Factory songs and posted online. "Luckily, Dino ended up on my page and complimented me," says Milo. "It was something like, 'That's amazing, man,' and I thought, 'Wow.'"
