Fear Factory is officially back! After almost five years since their last release and much anticipation for the announcement of the group's tenth album, the single "Disruptor" was released this Friday, the 16th.
Originally planned for release in 2019, the song still features vocals by Burton C. Bell . The band's vocalist for three decades, he left the group in September 2020 because he "didn't trust" his colleagues or lawyers after going through legal battles over the rights to the band's name, something the singer considered an unforgivable act of "greed."
Despite the less-than-amicable split, the new release represents the band's last album with Bell on vocals, but internal disagreements shouldn't affect the final result. "Making this record was positive throughout the entire process. The new songs are even stronger. The album is going to be amazing," the vocalist commented in 2018.
The track will be on the band's upcoming album, Aggression Continuum , slated for release in late 2021.
