The trio from Rio Grande , Far From Alaska, 3 , last Friday, the 14th . The project, which has a bold sound, moves between rock, pop, reggae and cyber xote, and is already available on all digital platforms.

3 It was conceived in 2020, amidst the pandemic. While isolation and fear plagued the world, the musicians created a setting for a work that blends the traditional with the innovative. The band dares to use virtual sounds, which allowed for a new aesthetic.

The album features special appearances by Lucas Silveira ( Fresno ), Gabriel Souto ( DuSolto and Luísa e os Alquimistas ), and Izzy Castro ( Twin Pumpkin ).

“We decided to embrace this format! It’s very easy, after gaining visibility, to become a prisoner of your own sound, but what really matters is doing work that is genuine and that reflects who we are at the moment,” emphasize the members of Far From Alaska.

The band recommends that fans listen to the album while exercising, to appreciate its different nuances across the 12 tracks.

Indeterminate gap

On their social media , Far From Alaska announced they will be taking a break to focus on other projects. Before the hiatus, the band will record an acoustic DVD.

"After more than 10 years as the band of our lives, we're going to take a break to focus on other projects, and then come back with a crazy new idea and another awesome album.". 

Emmily Barreto (vocals), Cris Botarelli (steel guitar, synthesizer and vocals) and Rafael Brasil (guitar) currently make up the band.
