While the world makes progress in vaccinating against Covid-19, the music industry prepares for the resumption of live performances.

Yesterday, the 27th, the largest experiment with people at concerts was conducted in Barcelona to test crowd control, therefore without social distancing, but preventing people from contracting Covid-19. The concert featured the Spanish rock band Love of Lesbian as the main attraction and was monitored with the approval of the Spanish health authorities.

Very strict precautions were taken to maximize the safety of all participants in the experiment.

Before attending the show, each person had to go to one of three pre-defined locations in Barcelona to take a Covid-19 test. Of all the people who attended, only three tested positive and were banned from attending the show. The test results were sent to each person's mobile phone 15 minutes after the test, authorizing their attendance at the concert.

The ticket price, around 130 reais at the current exchange rate, entitled the holder to the test and a mask to be used during the show.

Additionally, people who reported having a history of heart problems, cancer, or contact with someone who had Covid-19 were discouraged from enrolling in the experiment.

The Love of Lesbian concert wasn't the first test conducted in Spain, but it was the one that involved the largest number of people to date.
