Exodus' vocalist doesn't mind not being in the Big Four.

See the statement.

In an interview with the Dayton City Paper, Exodus vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza spoke about not being part of the Big Four of Thrash Metal, composed of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax. Souza commented:

“I never thought ‘I’d like to be in the Big Four.’ I’ve heard the term many times and I really don’t care. It doesn’t reflect the truth. There’s them and there’s Overkill, Testament, Exodus. And you could also add Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, if you want to know. I don’t mind, I’m happy where I am.”.

In a recent interview, Overkill frontman Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth also spoke about the topic , saying:

“When it comes to being selected or not, it’s just a matter of accounting. When you talk about the numbers, the numbers that make the world go round, that put food on the table, and the numbers that put the Big Four in arenas. They sell enough albums for that. For me, it’s not a concern. Just being asked about it is a compliment regarding our longevity or persistence in what we do. But it’s just a matter of accounting. Whoever sells more records comes out on top.”.
