Exodus returns to the studios in May of this year, according to Steve Zetro Souza.

The reunion is expected to coincide with the recording of one of the three albums contracted by the group's new label, Napalm Records.

In a video posted last Tuesday, the 27th, on his YouTube channel , Steve Zetro Souza Exodus ' new phase with the new record label, about three planned albums, and also about shows in South America, including Brazil. According to the vocalist, the band is currently writing and should be meeting in the studio soon.

“We were supposed to start [going to the studio] on March 1st, but we can’t just rush these things. It has to happen. So I think it’s more in mid-May that it’s going to happen,” Stevie said at the very beginning of the posted video.

In 2023, changes occurred for the band, which ended its nearly 20-year contract with its former label, Nuclear Blast, and signed with the Austrian label Napalm Records . Steve commented in his new video about the great relationship with his former label and also about the importance of change and a fresh start. "The new label, well, we don't have anything yet, they seem very excited and that's always a good thing," he said.

The last album released by Exodus was Persona Non Grata , from 2021, the successor to Blood in Blood Out, from 2014. The penultimate album came shortly after Stevie's return to the group , which happened in 2014, after Rob Dukes ( Generation Kill ) left the vocals after 9 years working with the group. The current lineup includes, in addition to Steve on vocals, guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus , drummer Tom Hunting , and bassist Jack Gibson .

Exodus in Brazil

Exodus' last shows in Brazil took place in December 2022, when they played in São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília. But the band's next stop in the country is already scheduled for the upcoming Summer Breeze Open Air festival , where they will share the stage with metal legends such as Gene Simmons , Biohazard , Epica , Anthrax , and others.

On this new visit to Brazil, in addition to Summer Breeze, which will take place in São Paulo between April 26th, 27th and 28th, the band will also perform in Belo Horizonte and Curitiba . In Minas Gerais, the group will perform at the CWB Hall event venue, while in Paraná, the show will be at Mister Rock Bar.
