Exodus guitarist and main songwriter Gary Holt revealed in an interview that the band is in the process of recording two new albums for release this year (via The Chuck Shute Podcast ).

According to Holt, the recordings started about two weeks ago and are currently in the final stages of completing the drum tracks, composed by Tom Hunting .

Still on the subject, the guitarist describes the moment as "ambitious." For the band, the goal is to produce two full albums, with entirely original material and no "filler" songs.

Hunting told The Metal Voice that the members intended to lock themselves in the studio for two months. Aiming to avoid long periods of inactivity between albums, the idea is to have the second album already finished by the time the first is released.

With the success of their last album, Persona Non Grata , released in 2021, the members are determined to surpass it. To that end, Holt announced the production of 20 to 22 tracks for the two albums and described the new material as "phenomenally f*cking awesome".

New projects and "new" members

The guitarist clarified that the band's creative process is independent of the vocalist, as the band maintains its essence regardless of who performs the songs.

It's worth remembering that in January of this year, Exodus announced the departure of vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza and the return of Rob Dukes . In an official statement, the members said they were extremely excited to have Dukes back on stage.

The band's current frontman has already participated in four studio albums and described the new material as " fucking thrash metal ." He also mentioned that the songwriting session with Holt and Hunting made him feel like he had never left the group (via Mark Strigl ).

In this wave of new projects, the band also announced that it will be touring the United States starting in April 2025, titled Swarm Of Horror , with no plans to include Brazil.
