Exodus guitarist Gary Holt spoke about the composition of their upcoming studio album in an interview with the American radio program Full Metal Jacki e . Furthermore, the musician stated—to the delight of fans—that the new album's arrival won't be long in coming.

Although they have already started composing, Holt says the band isn't quite ready yet and is taking the process slowly (via Blabbermouth ):

“Well, I’m writing the new album now. We were going to go into the studio in a week, but we needed more time. We’re not ready. And if we rushed things, it would be a big mistake. Unfortunately, due to tour commitments, our next opportunity to get into the studio and do it right will be at the beginning of next year. So, we’re postponing it, but it will be worth it because the songs are turning out great. I’m very happy,” he said.

During the interview, Gary also recalls the pandemic period, stating that the free time the band had positively impacted the production of their latest album, Persona Non Grata , released in November 2021.

According to the guitarist, he has been working on 10 songs for the next album, but he's not the only one — his bandmate, Lee Altus , also has some compositions up his sleeve.

When asked about the release date, Gary Holt says: “It will be next year. It will just be later than we imagined.”
