John Lennon: exhibition at MIS shows what the Beatle's life was like in New York with never-before-seen photos

Photographs were taken by the legendary Bob Gruen

The MIS (Museum of Image and Sound) in São Paulo will bring an incredible experience to Beatles fans: the exhibition John Lennon in New York by Bob Gruen.

Curated by journalist Ricardo Alexandre , the exhibition is a first in Brazil and showcases photos from the period when John Lennon lived in the American city, as seen through the eyes of the legendary photographer. Gruen has photographed major names in music such as the Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley , and Bob Dylan.

The images presented in the exhibition were taken when Gruen was hired as Lennon's personal photographer in New York. One of the most iconic photos is of the musician wearing a t-shirt with the city's name on it.
