A snippet of the unreleased version of the track “Only These Words”, from the album Higher Truth Chris Cornell 's last solo album , was shared last Friday, the 18th, for an emotional reason.

Toni Cornell 's sixteenth birthday through music , her mother, Vicky , shared a never-before-heard version of the song, accompanied by a touching message written by her mother.

“Toni, your dad would be so proud of the smart, strong, beautiful, and confident woman you are becoming. You are so loved, and you give so much love, freely and unconditionally. Your first words were 'I love you' to your brother as a baby when you met him. And as your dad sang perfectly, and what it will always be about – 'Just those three words repeating… I love you…' Keep doing great things, my sweet girl. He will always be with you! And to celebrate you with everyone – I’m sharing part of dad’s original version of 'Only These Words'. Happy birthday, Toni! <3 Mom,” wrote Vicky.
