Guns N' Roses ' former manager , Alan Niven , shared his opinions on the band Mötley Crüe , saying they weren't very nice. Despite all the hype and excitement surrounding Mötley Crüe, it was always known that they weren't the most pleasant people to be around.
Having participated in the distribution and promotion of the album Too Fast For Love (1981), Alan admitted that he is not happy with the association of his name with the history of the band.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times , the former manager of Guns N' Roses revealed [via Metal Sucks ]:
“[I feel] very ambivalent about the small role I played in the evolution of Mötley Crüe, because I know who they are. I know what they did to several people. I know how they treated a number of women. And I'm not proud to have contributed to that.”
Alan Niven also criticized the band's music and production, which has been painfully mediocre for a long time:
“And besides, someone needs to turn around and say, ‘It’s a lean catalog they produced,’ in terms of what they produced as music. There’s not much there, and it’s certainly not intellectually or spiritually enlightening in any way. They’re raw artists, and that’s it.”
