Members of Every Time I Die announce band separation.

With the exception of the lead singer, all members signed the statement.

After a 23-year career, the American band Every Time I Die announces their separation.

The news was confirmed in a statement signed by all members of the band, except for vocalist Keith Buckley . The statement explains that the last show with Every Time I Die, performed by Jordan Buckley and Andy Williams (guitarists), Clayton “Goose” Holyoak (drummer), and Stephen Micciche (bassist), took place on December 11, 2021.

According to the band members, the separation was not announced earlier because they hoped to reach an agreement to issue a formal statement to the public, something that was made impossible by the lack of contact with the vocalist.

"There was no direct communication with Keith, because direct communication with him is impossible, or we were cut off from any and all communication by him," they wrote.

Last December, the band canceled three shows after Keith stepped away due to mental health issues and hinted that the band intended to replace him, as reported by NME . In the message, the band denied rumors that they would continue with a new vocalist, stating that "Every Time I Die it was these five members and we never accepted any change."

In addition to thanking fans and crew members for their support over the years, the band expressed dissatisfaction with the internal conflicts. "While we are extremely disappointed with how this played out online in front of you, your support and the memories we have because of you all will always be cherished," they concluded.

Currently, the band's social media accounts are offline. In a post made after the announcement, vocalist Keith Buckley shared a record of a notification filed by the representatives of the other members on December 20, 2021, seeking a meeting to "discuss the legal terms of an amicable separation between the parties" and advising the singer not to make any further statements about internal group matters that could harm the image of his colleagues.

The group released Radical , their ninth studio album , on October 22, 2021. The project was Every Time I Die's first release in five years, following Friends And Family (2017).
