Just a few weeks after announcing the departure of guitarist Jen Majura , Evanescence performed live for the first time with their new lineup on June 5th.
The performance took place at a show in Greece and featured Emma Anzai , from Sick Puppies , as the new bassist, while longtime member Tim McCord took over on guitar.
As highlighted by the band in a statement , McCord has been a bassist for Evanescence for 16 years and is now "returning to his original instrument." Meanwhile, bassist Emma Anzai will be juggling a double schedule on some dates that the band will be sharing with Sick Puppies.
Evanescence parted ways with Jen Majura at the end of May, but neither the band nor the guitarist revealed the reasons for the split. Majura, for her part, clarified that leaving the band was not her decision , but thanked her colleagues for the time spent together.
