Evanescence announced last Saturday, the 21st, the departure of guitarist Jen Majura after seven years in the band.
“It’s been a very special chapter in the band with our dear friend Jen Majura, but we’ve decided it’s time to part ways. We will always love and support her, and we can’t wait to see what she does next! We are so grateful for the good times and the great music we made around the world together,” the band said in a statement.
Currently, Evanescence is rehearsing for their joint tour with Korn , which will begin in August, and has promised "exciting news" about the band's new lineup in the coming days.
In a post on her personal profile, Jen didn't give many details about her departure, but she made it clear that she didn't decide to leave Evanescence. "I feel the need to say that none of this was my decision! I have no hard feelings towards anyone and I wish Evanescence all the best. I have the chance to carry beautiful memories of these last few years, and I'm grateful," she wrote.
Jen Majura joined the band in 2015, replacing guitarist Terry Balsamo , and recorded the albums Synthesis (2017) and The Bitter Truth (2021) with the group.
