Evanescence is already planning for 2020, and it will have many new things in store for the band's fans. According to vocalist Amy Lee , the new album, the successor to Synthesis , will begin recording at the start of the year.

The news was revealed during an interview the singer gave to Summa Inferno . Lee also spoke about the band's recent cancellation at Knotfest in Mexico . Unfortunately, due to security issues, the group's set had to be canceled at the last minute, also causing the cancellation of Slipknot , headliner .

“I think it’s going to be amazing. We’re going to start recording the album at the beginning of the year, but we’re not going to do it all at once. We’re going to take it slowly, without rushing. But yes, we should release something soon,” she revealed.
