Amy Lee says the band hasn't been working on new material
In an interview with Rolling Stone in October, Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee said that although the band is returning from a three-year hiatus in November, the members still have no plans for a new album.
According to the vocalist, the shows scheduled for mid-November (in Nashville, Dallas, and Los Angeles) are a warm-up for their performance at Ozzfest Japan in Tokyo on the 21st. “We were offered the chance to play at Ozzfest earlier in the year, and I said, ‘Let’s do it.’ I just added the three US dates to practice before playing at a big festival where everything is out of our control .
Lee says he's still composing but that Evanescence doesn't yet have plans for a new album: "I don't have any news or plans for new material with Evanescence, but new music of my own, yes." The band is expected to schedule more shows in 2016.
The vocalist was interviewed by Wikimetal during Evanescence's last visit to Brazil. Check it out:
