Amy Lee confirmed that the new Evanescence album should be released soon
Evanescence fans have been waiting for a new studio album since 2011. Synthesis , an orchestrated reimagining of past hits, contained two new songs and was released in 2017. Now, with expectations at their peak, it seems fans will finally get what they wanted.
Amy Lee spoke about the album in a new interview. “This is kind of a creative year for us. We’re playing some festivals and headlining – but nothing too heavy. In the meantime, we’re together and have started the writing process for the new album.”
Regarding when fans can expect the material, Lee predicted that "hopefully, next year." "We'll see what happens this month and start making it more regularly until we feel we're ready."
