Evanescence has formed a new partnership. This time, the band released "Fight Like A Girl" with K. Flay , a rising star in alternative rock.

Channeling the film's themes of revenge and resilience, as well as female empowerment, "Fight Like A Girl" is the closing track of the film Ballerina . The feature film is a spin-off of John Wick, starring  Ana de Armas  as Eve , an assassin seeking revenge against her family's killers. The film premiered this Friday, the 6th.

Amy Lee spoke about when Tyler Bates , the film's composer and producer of the track, made the invitation: “Tyler calling me to create this song for 'Ballerina' couldn't have come at a better time. I know I'm not the only girl ready to stand up and show the world what we're made of. I really wanted this song to be a collaboration, and K. Flay is one of my favorite artists. It's literally a dream come true to do this together!”

K.Flay also shared his experience: "Amy sent me the demo and I was immediately so energized, so inspired."

“I was on tour at the time and wrote my lyrics backstage after a show, when my adrenaline was still pumping. For me, the film and the song are about how we channel our pain and how we choose to define ourselves. What separates the hero from the villain?”
