Evanescence fan posted a hilarious story on a Reddit about how she won a promotion to be a DJ on a radio station for a morning.

According to the young woman's account, the radio station played calm music suitable for listening to in the morning, and its music selection consisted of nothing less than "an hour of Evanescence ."

It all happened in 2004, when Evanescence had just released their debut album, Fallen (2003), and had dominated the radio with singles like "Bring Me To Life" and "My Immortal".

“In 2004 I won a promotion to be a DJ at the small, mellow music radio station in my hometown. I played an hour of selected Evanescence songs and ruined everyone's morning commute,” the young woman wrote.

Today, 18 years after the event, the young fan would have an even larger repertoire to fill her radio time with hits from the albums The Open Door (2006), Evanescence (2011) and The Bitter Truth (2021).
