During their appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show , Evanescence delivered a moving and chilling performance of their single "Better Without You," from the album The Bitter Truth .
The band gave it their all in the performance, playing together on a stage with smoke and red lights, with the exception of guitarist Jen Majura , who recorded her part remotely.
The energy of Evanescence in the performance of the single, which stands out on the album for having a metal vein, is contagious. Vocalist Amy Lee once again demonstrates the strength of her vocals and her stage presence, recalling the band's skill in live shows.
Regarding The Bitter Truth , Amy Lee commented that the band members wanted to "turn the tables" and "let the band shine," exploring a "rawer place" on the new album. The singer even joked, saying that it makes perfect sense for a new Evanescence album to be released "during the end times" after 10 years since their self-titled album.
Recently, “Better Without You” got a powerful music video that features strobe lights, colorful effects, and even a touch of mystery. Watch it here.
