If the rumors were that rock was dead, the Italian band Maneskin has just buried that possibility.
The band won first place yesterday, the 22nd, at the 65th edition of Eurovision , the world's biggest music festival, closely followed by European countries that discover the great revelations of music through the contest, which is more like a World Cup of music than a mere The Voice.
Besides making heavy rock popular again, the band also brought the award to Italy after 31 years in a thrilling competition. The votes, first tallied by juries from competing countries and then by the loyal public, showed Switzerland and France in the lead; however, Italy turned the tables at the last minute, giving the gold to Maneskin. It almost seems like a World Cup, doesn't it?
